  • ATHLETICS - Men's Soccer

Men’s soccer walked away from two matches against Highland with heads held high, and two Ws in the win column. JV put on a solid performance offensively and defensively. Brennan Klein started scoring early off a cross by Aleks Herrmann followed by two goals by Bradley Brooks and one by Jake McCabe. Zac Najac as keeper did a great job protecting the goal in both halves. Highland put two in during the second half, but the Thunder secured the 4-2 victory.

With high school playoffs on the line, Varsity rose to the challenge, and took an early first half lead with an amazing free kick by Ty Iannone who found the top, back net. Still leading 1-0 late in the second half, David Glenn put another goal for DV in the net off of an assist by Jack Johnson. Greg Samuels in goal with a strong defense cinched the deal, and the Thunder celebrated their first shutout of the season with a 2-0 victory. Thunder heads to Desert Ridge on Friday.
